Responsibilities
Summary: The Clinical Program Director provides clinical oversight of all assessment and treatment activities and ensures the delivery of a therapeutic treatment culture within the contract. This includes planning, development, and oversight for facility treatment programs, including, but not limited to, curricula, psycho educational classes, therapy groups, lectures and community meetings. The Clinical Program Director also ensures that programs comply with all contracting agency obligations, evidence-based practices, and Company policies and procedures. The Clinical Program Director will continuously monitor the efficacy and fidelity of the therapeutic program and administrative functions. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Program Director ensures all programs function in a manner that satisfies contractual obligations.
- Performs psychological evaluation on resident population for mental, emotional, restoration of competency, and behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent. Determines the appropriate course of treatment.
- The Clinical Program Director evaluates residents' mental status as to the need for transfer.
- Provides psychotherapy counseling to treat illness or distress.
- The Clinical Program Director possesses a complete awareness of psychotropic medications but cannot prescribe. Instructs staff in suicide identification and subsequent prevention techniques.
- The Clinical Program Director provides in-service education for medical and staff as required. Performs and trains staff on crisis intervention techniques.
- Performs administrative duties in keeping accurate records of resident contact, documenting all services provided, filling out required reports and analyses as required.
- The Clinical Program Director identifies problem areas that may impact residents' ability to successfully complete treatment. Guides staff to develop strategies to overcome obstacles to success completion of treatment.
- Consults with the Physician or Psychiatrist as needed for the proper health care needs of the patient.
- The Clinical Program Director participates in review of the quality of care provided.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Facility Overview
Minimum Requirements:
- Ph.D, Psy.D, or EdD in Psychology from an accredited university.
- Current license in Psychology in the state in which the facility is located or licensure/certification in accordance with contract requirements. (Current copy of license must be on file at the facility at all times.)
- Two (2) years of forensic or behavioral health work experience is preferred.
