The Associate Vice President is a strategic leadership role responsible for leading the Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), IoT & platforms portfolio, reporting to the Senior VP of Global Solutions & IoT. This role is responsible for growing a ~$1.5B product portfolio that includes Business Internet, Wireless Access, Internet of Things, and Network API's. Success in this role requires strong relationships with industry leaders, strategy counterparts, segment CROs & strategic partners. Strong emphasis will be given to industry thought leadership, outstanding sales leadership (focus on account growth, activity management, and participation), strategic vision and execution record, organization building, inspiration, & revenue growth.

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategic Leadership: Establish vision & strategy leading to the identification of multi-year growth opportunities, that sets the company up to realize market-leading growth in this 20%+ CAGR market. Define and execute the overall operational plan for FWA, IIoT and Connected Vehicles, aligning with the company's vision and growth objectives (potentially including guidance investment decisions in key areas of technology and infrastructure as well as partnerships).

  • Market Analysis and Expansion: Leverage market research to identify emerging trends in the industry that will enable strategies to penetrate new markets, expand the company's footprint, and grow the account base.

  • Partnership Management: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key internal (Core Sales,Product, Network) and external (industry players, technology providers, and research institutions) to foster innovation and accelerate growth.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Build a high-impact organization by bringing together talent from within and outside the company. Lead a high-performing team of sales professionals, solution architects, and program resources. Hold leaders & organization accountable and monitor key performance metrics related to the product portfolio, taking corrective actions to meet targets.

  • Financial Management: Operate as a General Manager of FWA & IoT by developing a channel strategy, securing growth-friendly commercials, be present with customer leadership, and secure continued revenue growth. Manage budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure profitability of the IIoT, Connected Vehicles, and FWA business.

  • Thought Leadership: Represent the company as a thought leader in the IIoT and connected vehicles space through participation in industry events, conferences, and publications. Orchestrate marketing and operational support to amplify the IoT narrative for the company at vertical industry events such as automotive.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Technology Solutions, Engineering, VGS-IT, Marketing, customer support, and Sales organizations on a detailed level to drive product development and innovation, content creation, and enablement activities. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless execution across departments.

  • Operational Excellence: Proven track record of operational excellence in leading sales and technical teams, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality outcomes. Advise and assist in streamlining operational processes across the cellular practice ecosystem and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 12+ years of related experience with a minimum of 6-8+ years in sales leadership of wireless products and platforms.

  • 10+ years of proven experience in the technology industry, with a focus on IIoT, connected vehicles, or related fields, bringing strong relationships with hardware partners and customer decision makers.

  • Deep technical understanding of FWA/IoT-related network products and SaaS products, ensuring a holistic approach to product development. Deep understanding of industrial automation, sensor technologies, data analytics, and cloud computing.

  • Proven track record of leading teams in the operational delivery of successful products, and achieving customer success.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate market and customer insights into operational plans that drive successful product outcomes.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless execution across departments.

  • Experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated with product development and delivery.

  • Track record of establishing and achieving key performance metrics for product portfolios.

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on empowering and developing a cross-functional team of high-performing professionals.

  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment.

  • Strong business acumen, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • At least 10 years of experience in a combination of strategy, technical sales, and marketing roles within the wireless/telecom industry.

  • Ability to communicate knowledge and expertise to provide insight and direction to the business. Ability to coach, mentor, and train others within the company and can educate key stakeholders on the benefits of a proposed approach.

Where you'll be working

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annually salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $206,000.00 - $395,000.00. The annual salary range for the Colorado location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $226,500.00 - $395,000.00. The annual salary range for the Illinois location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $226,500.00 - $395,000.00. The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $226,500.00 - $395,000.00.
