The Employee Communications Specialist will sit on our in-house marketing communications team, the IDEAL Integrated Marketing Group [IMG]. They will be responsible for planning and crafting communications that engage the employee base for IDEAL Industries, Inc. The position will also support communication for our three brands: IDEAL Electrical, Anderson Power, and Enatel. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for employee engagement, and a strong communications background. They will work collaboratively with the communications and marketing teams to develop compelling content for a range of audiences across channels.

This is a remote position for a highly collaborative team and requires being present and available to collaborate with colleagues throughout standard workday hours (8AM-5PM).



Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    Communications Planning - Create communications briefs and plans to support a variety of requests from internal stakeholders, articulating goals, outlining project plans, and crafting channel timelines.
  • Employer Brand Management - Align communications with the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and partner closely with the designers to build and grow our employee brand
  • Content Calendar Management - Manage a comprehensive internal communications content calendar, outlining when various pieces of communications and projects will be deployed to which audiences on specific channels. Communicate and manage shifting deadlines to cross-functional teams. Align timelines with team that works on external communications.
  • Content Development & Deployment - Draft, edit, and deploy communications for multiple audiences, including emails, intranet content, town halls, internal newsletters, messaging/talking points, flatscreens, presentations, and more. Utilize brand guidelines, master brand voices, and provide excellent and polished written communications. Utilize Contact Monkey for internal email deployment and Igloo for intranet content deployment.
  • Project Management - Successfully manage all internal content from start to finish, including managing and incorporating stakeholder reviews, using Monday.com as a project management tool.
  • Employee Advocacy and Engagement - Partner with HR, PR, and social media teams to maintain a steady stream of content that employees can engage with. Champion employee engagement through communications.
  • Event Support - Partner with teams to support communications initiatives around internal events, including banquets and town halls. Develop and implement run of show documents and marketing collateral for events.
  • Reporting & Benchmarking - Partner with data analyst to benchmark and report on employee communications initiatives, utilizing data to improve content overtime.
  • Sales Team Communication - Partner with IMG colleagues and marketers within business units to deploy sales enablement materials


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, advertising, communications, or similar fields
  • 3-7 years of communications experience
  • Proficiency with written and oral communication - should be a grammar and writing expert
  • Experience working with senior executives
  • Experience working with collaborative and matrixed teams
  • Experience using visual communication tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
  • Extremely organized and able to keep track of multiple projects using project management software
  • Creative, collaborative, adaptable and team-minded
  • Great presenter and able to influence change across the organization with people at multiple levels
  • Experience working with complex, matrixed and process-oriented teams
  • Experience creating and upholding process for their function
  • Intrapreneurial, strategic thinker
  • Able to work successfully on an independent basis in a remote setting
  • Attention to detail and drive for results
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment

The expected annual salary for this position is between $66,231.00 and $89,081.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
