Proposal Manager - Remote

The Role

The Proposal Manager will develop unique proposal responses for the Federal Government, municipalities, schools, universities, healthcare, and private opportunities. Will oversee multiple proposals simultaneously and be responsible to ensure strict adherence to RFP requirements for entire submission.

Qualifications:




  • 4+ years' experience in a related field
  • Some experience managing multiple and complex proposals
  • Experienced in producing detailed fixed price estimates; has the ability to use RS Means or other published unit price books to produce detailed line-item estimates
  • Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods
  • Previous experience supporting a general contractor a plus
  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to:

    • Adapt and be flexible to frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment
    • Demonstrate integrity consistent with Centennial's core values
    • Collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with people of various backgrounds and styles
    • Create innovative solutions to RFP requirements
    • Identify multiple solutions to typical proposal challenges and suggest the proper response relative to an individual customer
    • Attention to the details of a solicitations/proposal but also can see the broad view in developing a winning concept
    • Excellent grammar, editing, and writing skills required
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise, and professional presentation of information
    • Hands-on knowledge of desktop publishing and graphics software
    • Proficient with Microsoft Suite including: Word, Excel, and Power Point
    • Adapt to the constantly evolving world of technology and systems
    • Able to generate advanced graphics
    • Mentor and train team members


  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related major highly desired



Responsibilities:




  • Proposal Development: Must be knowledgeable of the federal proposal process, and be extremely hands-on in the research and development of proposal text and graphics concepts; Critical attributes include exceptional teamwork, flexibility, organization, and a get it done attitude; Write proposal/marketing narrative; Leverage and re-use existing proposal boilerplate information; Develop targeted questions and interview technical and project staff to extract from them the critical information necessary to include in a proposal; Perform in-depth solicitation review and gap analyses to inform others of the requirements; lead kickoff and review meetings; be proactive in the development of strategic win themes and discriminators on assigned sections and proposals; Work with operations staff to compile the critical supporting information necessary to include in a proposal; Lead storyboarding, kickoff and review meetings; Be proactive in the development of strategic win themes and discriminators; Provide detailed guidance to proposal contributors and subcontractors; Communicate proposal-related requirements and status with senior management, as appropriate; Define and manage the proposal/response schedule; Remain current on all amendments and modifications to the solicitation; Participate proactively in proposal knowledge management processes; Take end-to-end ownership and command of the proposal process including, Oral presentations, Best and Final Offers (BAFOs), Clarifications, etc.


  • Safety: Ensures compliance with Centennial's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines and procedures along with all local requirements (OSHA, USACE EM385.1.1, etc.)


  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Performance of the required job duties will be in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.



The compensation range for this role takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to; experience, training, certifications, education, and business needs. It has not been adjusted for geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The compensation range for this position is $86,100.00 - $133,035.00.
