Compensation:

* Base Pay Range: $32.82 - $53.57 per hour, based on experience

* Shift Differentials: Additional $3.00 per hour for call shift

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Conducts periodic performance evaluations for technologists. Orients, trains, and maintains staff competencies, including those performing imaging in outlying clinics. Performs quality assurance procedures to uphold radiation safety standards for personnel exposed to ionizing radiation. Coordinates operating room coverage, portable radiography, fluoroscopy, and patient flow within the department. Acts as a contact person for scheduling patients from other units for imaging services. Monitors patient flow, ensuring well-being, timeliness, and addressing inquiries.

Supervises or assists in instructing student technologists and ancillary personnel. Maintains and updates skills through continuing education and training. Participates in committees and special projects as assigned. Performs Radiologic Technologist duties during physician-ordered examinations. Performs related assignments as directed. Develops, coordinates, and maintains daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of unit coverage and continuity of care. Monitors time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely submittal/approval for payroll purposes. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.

Three (3) years of experience as a radiologic technologist or in radiation therapy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree.

One (1) year of specialized experience.

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work duringinclement weather will be required.
