Minimum Job Requirements


  • Physical- must be able to move about the shop floor with or without accommodation, must be able to use a computer and keyboard.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring inventory balances in the ERP system are accurate by following a perpetual inventory cycle count system and submitting quantity corrections to the Cost Accountant. Authority to create inventory purchase recommendations and submitting these to the Material Manager.


  • Take daily cycle counts as generated by Epicor.
  • Submit quantity corrections to the Cost Accountant for update.
  • Help with audits
  • Create purchasing recommendations for inventory and supply items as directed based on agreed on buy quantities and reorder points.
  • Review reorder points with Scheduler and Purchasing Manager.
  • Work with supervisors and leads to maintain some production supplies, for example grinding belts and packaging material.
  • Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Must have strong math skills.
  • Ability to understand forecasts and shop loads and apply them to a procurement plan.
  • Some experience with a manufacturing software application preferred.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good computer skills, including experienced in the use of Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work well with others.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent and experience in a purchasing, manufacturing scheduling or accounting function.
