Role:

Coordinates Public Relations and Advertising functions for Hard Rock Biloxi

Responsibilities:

Works in conjunction with the Management Group marketing team and Property Management to execute public relations functions such as answering media calls and writing press releases as necessary.
Provides a copy and layout support (art direction) as needed for internal and external print collateral.
Maintains a Hard Rock attitude and remembers to Love All, Serve All.
Ensures the integrity of the brand is met throughout the property.
Oversees the design and creativity of all collateral for the hotel & casino.
Gives direction to creative team for all collateral & concepts for property.
Provides writing and editing in relation to all internally produced advertising mediums such as newsletters, brochures, flyers, website, etc.
Ensures the highest level of media attention is solicited for the property's amenities, promotions, special events, and related developments.
Supervises advertising designers to ensure a quality product is delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Reconciles advertising billing and plans monthly media placement.
Solicits and obtains contracted advertising freelancers for specified jobs.
Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and employees.
Supervises staff and coordinates work schedules amongst employees within the department.
Responsible for all Social Media updates and communication
Responsible for the trafficking of media in a timely fashion, including Billboards, Television, Radio, etc.
Works closely with the promotions and direct marketing teams to ensure all communication is accurate and consistent across channels.
Participates in the property's social media activity, applying the brand "voice" as per corporate guidelines.
Conducts meetings with staff to communicate vibe programs, implement new products and procedures, and discuss areas of opportunity, special events, etc.
Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.

Ensures all signage is maintained and up to date on property.
Ensures that all media outlets are funneled through property
Sets up all press conferences for events and any and all media related events.
Ensures the Hard Rock brand is properly represented at all times through creative, media representation, press and community outreach.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

A. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.
B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage, communication, 10-key touch, etc.
C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds, or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart? (Examples: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, color vision, etc.)

Qualifications:

4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Hard Rockers must have their head screwed on relatively straight and have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
Must possess basic computer skills.
Must have the ability to have fun while on duty!
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests.
Must have experience communicating with media.
Must be able to hold a Mississippi Gaming badge.

Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
