As a Principal Software Engineer in PostMarketQuality (PMQ) you will be working on complaints concerning Digital Solutions quality & performance of Hospital / Laboratory Information Systems (HIS/LIS), medical data networks, middleware solutions and data communication, apps, algorithms.

As a member of the Digital Solutions Chapter, you will be working in a very transversal Software environment having the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies and different programming languages for on-premise and cloud-based software.

The Opportunity

  • Understand source code in order to find out the root cause/causal factor of a SW malfunction/SW issue, and learn about Software requirements, fixing bugs process (even if you will not fix them) and general code maintenance, all of it in an Agile environment where you could contribute with your own ideas and proposals in a team continuously improving.

  • Accountable for the timely handling of individual cases (Complaint, Potential Reportable and Safety issues) according to ISO Quality System requirements and regulations

  • Contributes to the creation of regular reports for PMQ, as well as to document on-market product quality and performance, to escalate critical issues to the responsible Life Cycle Teams and to define proactive measures.

  • Represents the PMQ towards stakeholders (e.g. Affiliates, Global Customer Support, Research & Development etc) to assume responsibility for timely communication of quality related information to the Country Organizations.

  • Supports and represents the PMQ department in audits

  • Takes responsibility for team internal alignment (e.g. team meetings, work distribution, ...) and achieving team KPIs

  • Coaches colleagues and helps others develop expertise/skills.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • You have 5+ years related work experience.

  • You have in-depth specialist knowledge in Digital Biomedical Engineering or Information Technology, such as:

    • SW architecture

    • Programming

    • Debugging

    • Computer Networks

    • Communication protocols

    • Cloud

    • Automation

  • Knowledge of IVD regulatory requirements and quality practices, especially in the area of complaint management (e.g., 21 CFR 820.198, ISO 10002, ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and knowledge of the diagnostic market is preferred.

  • You bring strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) and strong influencing skills

Locations

You are local to Tucson, Arizona. This is an on-site position.

Relocation benefits are not available.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, Arizona is between $78,900 and $146,500. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
