We are looking for a highly skilled Network/System Admin to provide services supporting IT infrastructure and network operations across multiple government sites. The ideal candidate will leverage ITIL best practices to ensure efficient and effective service delivery, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across all associated services.



Job Description

    Provide comprehensive administration of all enterprise LAN devices to include routers, firewalls, switches, network appliances, storage devices, print servers, end-user devices (e.g., laptops, desktops, zero clients, thin clients, and tablets), and MFDs.
  • Administration of its Organizational Unit (OU) within the Microsoft AD Domain.
  • Ensure that all devices are securely configured and tested prior to installation on the LAN.
  • Regularly update devices with vendor patches, security patches, operating system upgrades, firmware upgrades, and new security configurations.
  • Periodically perform backups and test backups to ensure the ability to recover mission-critical information.
  • Configure all devices according to directed STIGs.
  • Monitor communications from various Government agencies for applicable directives to include Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA)s, Cyberspace Task Order (CTO)s, Cyber Network Defense (CND) Directives, and Security Technical implementation Guide (STIG) releases.
  • Develop and maintain site-specific equipment inventory and configuration that includes as-built diagrams and schematics, rack space layouts, mainatain network availability IAW SLAs.
  • Manage a variety of end-point security products (e.g., Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Host-Based Security Solution (HBSS), Tanium, etc.).
  • Oversee comprehensive network patch and upgrade cycle to ensure that all equipment, devices, and software are up to date and patched.
  • Operate and maintain enterprise assigned portions of AD IAW industry best practices, local policies and regulations.
  • Provides immediate response and/or investigation of system alerts as a senior level troubleshooter in a complex network environment. Able to direct and train others in responding to system alerts.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation for network cabling, backup, disaster methodologies and procedures, and connectivity infrastructure. Ensures that documentation is available and up to date.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Network/Admin support
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Desired Experience/Certifications

  • Relevant technical BS degree
  • Applicable professional certifications such as MSCE
  • ITIL Foundation certification (Basic).
  • Experience with routers, switches, and advanced networking solutions
