AGE Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to provide engineering and operational support for Voice, Video, and File Services in a secure Department of Defense (DoD) environment. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on role in engineering deployments, ensuring smooth integration of secure collaboration technologies into complex enterprise networks. You will be part of a high-power team proving out a prototype for production at full scale. This position requires a deep understanding of V2 principles, DoD systems, and security protocols, as well as the ability to lead and implement complex integration initiatives.

This is a Hybrid position located in Arlington, VA.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Execute the deployment and configuration of enterprise-grade VoIP, VTC, and file-sharing systems in secure DoD environments
  • Implement solutions for unified communications platforms (e.g., Cisco CUCM, Polycom, Microsoft Teams DOD, ZoomGov) tailored to classified infrastructure needs
  • Participate in site surveys, planning sessions, and coordination meetings to ensure successful technology rollouts
  • Integrate voice and video conferencing systems with existing network infrastructure, ensuring interoperability and adherence to security and performance standards
  • Support the integration of file systems (e.g., Windows DFS, NAS/SAN storage, SharePoint) with mission-specific applications and data flows
  • Work closely with cybersecurity teams to implement STIGs, RMF controls, and encryption protocols to maintain compliance and information assurance
  • Support patching, updates, and system compliance with DISA STIGs, DoD Cybersecurity policies, and RMF controls
  • Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise file systems, including SMB/NFS shares, Windows DFS, and network-attached storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers, administrators, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure system integrity and availability
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, SOPs, and diagrams


Required Qualifications:



  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)


  • Experience:

    • Five (5) years of experience in systems engineering or implementation roles with a focus on voice, video, and file services in secure DoD environments


  • Citizenship and Clearance:

    • US Citizenship is required.
    • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and the willingness to obtain TS/SCI Eligibility


  • Certifications:

    • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+)


  • Knowledge and Skills:

    • Strong understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and QoS related to voice and video traffic
    • Familiarity with STIG applications, RMF processes, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
    • Proven Hands-on experience deploying and integrating:

      • VoIP solutions (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, Asterisk)
      • VTC/Telepresence systems (e.g., Cisco, Polycom, ZoomGov)
      • Enterprise file systems (e.g., SMB, DFS, NAS)


    • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, cloud-focused environment.




Desired Qualifications:



  • Master's degree (Information Technology related field preferred)
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification; CISSP or equivalent certification
  • Familiarity with Special Access Program security requirements


Work Environment and Physical Demand:



  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk.


Compensation: $150,000 - $159,000
