Overview
POSITION SUMMARY The General Manager of Safety will lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of Daifuku Services (DSUS) safety management system and policies across the organization. This role is vital in ensuring a safe working environment, compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a "Safety is our Core" culture. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in safety management, operational leadership, and a track record of driving results through effective workplace safety management and strategic planning.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A college degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, with a substantial portion in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in driving safety initiatives within a complex organizational structure.
- Experience in managing worker's compensation claims.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to interpret and apply OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI standards to Daifuku operations.
- Ability to pass all necessary background checks.
- Valid driver's license with insurability under the employer's insurance policy.
- Hybrid working arrangement includes office, home, and on-site support.
- Willingness to travel up to 60%.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and hours.
- Openness to off-site training and workshops.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic understanding of airport operations and maintenance.
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, COSM) are beneficial.
- Familiarity with Velocity EHS and SDS software
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Expert knowledge in safety compliance concepts and hazard identification.
- Intermediate proficiency in legal and risk management concepts.
- Competence in data analysis and project management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with keen attention to detail.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is based in an office that may include a shop environment, exposing the employee to dust, moving machinery, and noise levels that comply with OSHA standards. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in fieldwork scenarios.
