The Senior Director of Parts Operations, Distribution & Strategy will engage with Fleet Services(FS) leadership to develop, establish and implement the operational vision and strategy for the Parts Operations and Distribution. This key leader will be responsible for managing business readiness, identifying priorities, and driving decision-making that aligns with the strategic and business objectives. The successful candidates will develop actionable insights, exercises sound business judgment and engages with management to focus and improve business operations. The Senior Director will be expected to collaborate with finance, sales, product/technology, operations, shared services, and CCI (Cox Communications) procurement teams.

Business Operations:

  • Engage with FS leadership to develop and implement the overall distribution strategy for equipping our operations, 1100+ mobile technicians and 40+ shop locations, with parts to fulfil our services.
  • Partner with FS leadership to identify, prioritize, and develop execution plans for materially impactful strategic solutions and opportunities.
  • Create and manage a parts operation team across the FS footprint, including centralized procurement, warehouse operations, logistics, and 3rd part services, to distribute and deliver to our technicians and shops.
  • Manage business readiness processes for new product launches and product enhancements, ensuring coordination between operations and functional groups.
  • Analyze spend and utilization, developing strategies to optimize procurement and technician efficiency related to sourcing parts.
  • Leverage business intelligence and fact-based insights to drive decision-making.
  • Ensure projects achieve business, functional, and operational goals while also respecting constraints imposed by customers, budgets, and competing priorities.
  • Work with business and Operations Management leaders to identify high-priority projects, acquire necessary resources, and ensure project decision-making is aligned with strategic and business objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, product/technology, operations, shared services, and CCI procurement teams.
  • Establish and approve budgets and resource allocations, ensuring alignment with and commitment from internal departments and organizations.
  • Leverage performance and related data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights for operational/service improvements, making recommendations to leadership.
  • Monitor the industry to identify trends, spot operations and related project activity that offers potential business advantages or poses a competitive threat.
  • Drive New Business in Developing Markets and Support current business in existing markets.
  • Develop productivity reports and work with team members to improve productivity.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 12 years of experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 10 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 7 years' experience in a related field; or 16 years' experience in a related field.
  • 7+ years' experience in management or leadership role with 5 years of exposure to P&L financial management with working knowledge of budgeting concepts.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical thinker
  • Ability to adapt strategy and approach based on changing business conditions
  • Experience in developing and managing process and performance measurement tools
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences, internally and externally
  • Strong interpersonal skills - flexible, collaborative, positive attitude, highly motivated and curious about market evolutions
  • Possess a skill set in Sales and be mechanically inclined; able to generate new business within the market supporting the operations of the business.
  • Knowledge of the mobile fleet work environment and challenges, maintenance practices, and FS-specific requirements and processes for mobile maintenance
  • Able to collaborate with customers, especially customers with urgent issues, to provide solutions that meet customer requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 50%-75% (depending on location).


USD 191,300.00 - 318,800.00

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $191,300.00 - $318,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
