Job Details Job Summary

The Area Director will lead a regional sales team focused on maximizing sales volume and revenue for our Interventional Cardiology product line. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives in alignment with company goals while coaching and managing regional team members to ensure strong sales execution and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Duties are listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned as needed.)

  • Recruit, retain, train, and develop key personnel to align with regional strategic goals.

  • Design and direct regional sales strategies and programs to achieve corporate objectives.

  • Ensure successful execution of company sales strategies across the sales organization.

  • Optimize regional coverage and customer engagement by overseeing organizational design.

  • Manage and coach Clinical Specialist Managers, Account Managers, and Clinical Specialists.

  • Ensure Account Managers effectively:

    • Sell company products and programs.

    • Target key accounts and meet clinical needs.

  • Identify and develop physician champions in key accounts using internal resources.

  • Deliver key presentations to stakeholders, including clinical and administrative leadership.

  • Cultivate regional and national KOL advocates.

  • Support Corporate Accounts in contract negotiations and product value assessments.

  • Drive execution through ride-alongs, customer visits, and conference participation.

  • Maintain relationships with key customers and demonstrate technical and clinical expertise.

  • Plan and monitor regional performance; develop quarterly action plans and reporting.

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, pricing, and compliance with financial expectations.

  • Collaborate with HR to develop incentive-based compensation programs.

  • Ensure compliance with all company and industry policies (e.g., AdvaMed, Sunshine Act).

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position carries supervisory responsibilities, including:

  • Hiring, training, and developing employees.

  • Performance management and coaching.

  • Assigning tasks and resolving team issues.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Science (Required)

Experience:

  • 5+ years in sales/marketing within medical devices (Interventional Cardiology/Structural Heart preferred)

  • 2+ years in sales management or equivalent leadership roles (Preferred)

Skills:

  • Strong managerial and leadership capabilities.

  • Ability to coach, develop, and lead a regional sales team.

  • Strategic thinker with strong customer-facing communication skills.

Certifications:

Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or operate tools and equipment.

  • May be exposed to blood and bodily fluids during customer interactions.

Travel Requirements
  • Up to 60% domestic travel is expected.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate's location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics' employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role.

In addition to compensation, the Company offers a competitive suite of benefits to its employees, including without limitation, a 401(k) with up to a 6% employer match and no vesting period, an employee stock purchase plan, "flexible time off" for salaried employees and, for hourly employees, accrual of three to five weeks' vacation annually (based on tenure), accrual of up to 64 hours (annually) of paid sick time, paid and/or floating holidays, parental leave, short- and long-term disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and/or health and welfare benefits.

The base salary range for this role is:

$66,060.29-$127,401.98/Annual
