Tax Analyst I

• Prepare and file basic state and local motor fuel tax returns & related documents and respond to related notices & audits, as needed.
• Conduct basic motor fuel tax research and analysis.
• Support other tax analysts in data collection and analysis.
• Maintain and update motor fuel tax records and databases.
• Assist in the preparation of tax reports, data requests, and presentations for management and external parties.
• Perform routine tasks such as data entry, reconciliation, and variance analysis.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
