General Information Technology, Senior Advisor

Manages team that provides technical assistance to computer system and network users. May also have oversight for a data center. Provides 24/7 technical support for computers and associated networks. Implements policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected. Ensures maximum issue resolution in minimum time to meet Service Level Agreements. Evaluates new information systems products or services and suggests changes to existing products or services to better aide the end user. Coordinates the preparation of bid specifications for required purchases (e.g., computers, software, (email, firewall, backup) and a variety of parts, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining availability of required items. Directs, establishes, plans, and implements the policies and procedures to support the organization's technical support services. Manages the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, desktop PCs, hardware, software, operating systems, and distributed printers. Monitors technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities.

Required:

Requires a TS/SCI.
• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
• Requires proven experience with a deep understanding of Amazon Web Service (AWS), cloud migration/integration.
• Requires Strong knowledge DevSecOps methodologies and automating deployments via CI/CD pipelines.
• Requires some experience with designing and implementing Vmware virtual infrastructure solutions, including scalability and high availability considerations.
• Requires some experience with standing up ESXi hosts, various versions, AD integrations, time, and DNS services.
• Requires some experience in the administration of Microsoft Active Directory (create user accounts, manage groups/permissions/access).
• Requires some experience in the administration of Microsoft databases (log shipping, event management, cluster management).

Desired:

• AWS Cloud certifications.
• MCSE certification or other Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
• Cisco certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience with system administration and network administration
• Experience with Linux is desirable.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and other scripting languages.
• Knowledge of network and host hardening.
• Knowledge of Splunk.
