JOB ANNOUNCEMENT PRINCIPAL OPERATIONS ANALYST CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT Strategic Initiatives Division Number of Vacancies: 5 (Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval) Starting Salary: $80,472.00 annually Applications for this position will be accepted until 11:59 pm Central time on 06/04/2025. *Successful candidates must pass a drug screen and a background investigation. Persons offered employment must pass all pre-employment exams before appointment. Under general supervision, functions as a technical expert or team leader in the design and conduct of a broad range of studies to improve operations, and performs related duties as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of work experience in operations analysis, project management, strategic planning, program auditing or business management consulting, OR * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree plus two (2) years of work experience in operations analysis, project management, strategic planning, program auditing or business management consulting NOTE: You must provide your transcripts or diploma at the time of processing. SELECTION REQUIREMENTS This position requires applicants to complete an interview, which will include a written exercise and/or a skills assessment test as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected.
