We currently are looking to add a casting/pouring technician to our team. The Company is comprised of a Corporate office (Philadelphia, PA), two (2) manufacturing facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Oshkosh, WI) and two (2) repair and service facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Yuba City, CA) located in the United States. In addition, Kingsbury has one (1) manufacturing facility located in Gottingen Germany.

As the Babbitt Technician, the team member would:

  • Follow company established processes for centrifugal casting of Babbitt on a variety of backing materials.
  • Perform preheating and degassing of material.
  • Maintain tin and Babbitt inventory levels and documentation.
  • Follow all safety instructions and procedures. Complies with all safety requirements for pouring and casting of liquid metals. Wears all PPE required to perform the job in the safest manner possible.
  • Clean babbitted components before moving them to the next operation.
  • Build, prepare and install instrumentation wires in bearing components.
  • Perform Babbitt repairs and patching as required.
  • Use open flame torches and TIG welders.

Abilities and Other Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Education and Experience

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 0+ years relevant experience
