Overall Scope


This role focuses on growing and managing key accounts within the heavy-duty market, driving sales through strategic partnerships with distributors, dealers, fleets, and repair shops. The candidate will develop annual growth strategies, promote SKF's full product portfolio, and drive fleet business through distribution channels.

Candidate Profile


The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, taking full ownership of territory to drive sales. They must embody a hunter/problem solver mentality, actively seeking innovative and cost-effective ways to generate business. Strong motivation, relationship-building skills, and the ability to adapt to market changes are essential.

Responsibilities



  • Account Management & Growth:
    Maintain and expand relationships with distributors, dealers, fleets, and repair shops, setting clear growth objectives.



  • Sales Strategy Execution:
    Develop and implement national account programs, regional promotions, fleet conversions, and training initiatives.



  • Training & Customer Engagement:
    Provide hands-on training for fleets, repair shops, parts counters, and sales teams, ensuring alignment with SKF's product offerings.



  • CRM & Reporting
    : Track sales activity, maintain updated customer data, and support fleet sales initiatives through distribution channels.



  • Industry Engagement:
    Represent SKF at trade shows, leveraging networking opportunities to drive business expansion.



  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    Work within SKF's internal departments to align strategy with broader company initiatives.



  • Performance & Travel Expectations:
    Over 80% focus on selling and motivating distribution personnel, with a travel requirement of over 60%. Territory will be Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, and Louisiana.





Qualifications



  • 5+ years of sales experience in commercial vehicle or automotive markets.


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (or equivalent experience).


  • Hunter mentality, able to drive change, close sales, and foster business relationships.


  • Strong CRM proficiency with Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating problem-solving, adaptability, and customer focus.
