Job Overview
Key Job Responsibilities

  • Initiates new and repeat customer contacts for the sale of Montabert equipment.
  • Assesses customer requirements and helps customers in selecting Montabert equipment.
  • Directs the work of and assists Field Service and Dealer Representatives in planning and executing Field Service work.
  • Ensures that the Sales manager is kept informed of all sales opportunities and issues.
  • Makes close contact with engineering on manufacturing changes and updates.
  • Keeps informed on competitor activity and competitive machine developments and performance.
  • Generates new machine, component rebuild and parts sales within the Sales territory.
  • Provides customers with support and guidelines on the installation, operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Manage the Sales and Service territory to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Counsels customer management on the selection of machinery, machine specifications and options.
  • Evaluates and recommends to the customers the best method of operation for type of equipment.
  • Promotes the sale of new equipment, components, parts and rebuild services.
  • Assesses customer requirements and assist customers in solving specific problems.
  • Maintains open communications with customers on warranty disputes to reach a compromise. Ensure that the Sales Manager is kept informed.
  • Monitors territory parameters (i.e. expenses, warranties, concessions, gross margin on sales, etc.) through Sales Manager and Sales Team.
  • Participates in price negotiations and assists in preparation of quotes and sales orders.
  • Keeps informed on competitor activity and competitive machine developments and performance. Prepares a number of reports both on a periodic and special assignment basis.
  • Maintains, takes corrective actions and monitors the timely communication of needs for customers, Engineers, Service Center and Warehouse to reach optimum results and achieve objectives.


Qualifications/Requirements

  • This position requires degree-level qualifications in a related field or 3-5 years of progressive experience in practical Construction, Demolition, and Mining problems and equipment. The incumbent will be called on to evaluate customer application, must be able to assess all customers in solving problems, measuring machine performance, handling complaints, and maintaining equipment.
  • Must be familiar with Montabert products, including Hydraulic Rock breakers and related equipment.
  • Experience and understanding of direct and indirect distribution channels (Equipment distributor, OEM, direct sales)
