This position will require training in Itasca, IL and Darien, WI. Once the manager has completed the training, this position will be remote.

Pay Rate: $160000 - $180000 / year

Position Summary:

The Senior Account Manager will manage one or more key strategic customer accounts with a focus on customer satisfaction, managing day-to-day commercial issues, improving PSI revenue and margin, and expanding the PSI business into new applications. The Senior Account Manager responsibilities also include development of new strategic accounts as defined by the Business Development Team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day commercial issues with customers to mutual satisfaction
  • Develop relationships across the organization of assigned clients with a focus on research, identifying potential opportunities for expansion, and proactive and timely problem resolution
  • Strategically and effectively develop new accounts
  • Conduct comprehensive situation/issue assessments, make recommendations to management, and follow through as appropriate with customers and cross-functionally within PSI
  • Provide regular reporting of assigned metrics to management on the performance of assigned accounts including pipeline activities for client spend expansion and accrued margin on contracts and products
  • Lead/assist with contract negotiation including proposal development, negotiations, and proactive customer engagement to expand partnerships and mitigate business risk related to regulatory, legal, performance, financial and other obligations for assigned accounts
  • Lead/Assist determination based on the size/complexity of the related activity
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and pricing pressures to proactively steer off competitors and identify expansion opportunities
  • Collaborate with the PMO, service, engineering, operations, quality, supply chain teams providing effective two-way communication to support new product development, new business development and customer retention
  • Master PSI PowerSell methodology to achieve revenue growth, expand product offerings with assigned accounts customers and meet market share, margin, and customer experience goals
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering, business, marketing, or related field; may substitute for the degree direct applicable work experience on a year-for-year basis which built competencies and subject matter expertise
  • In-depth market expertise and understanding of commercial networks in the off-highway engine marketplace including market trends, application, competitive landscape, technical and commercial solutions, and customer buying criteria
  • Previous documented success in a role responsible for customer expansion, customer strategy, and customer retention
  • Well established professional network including relationships and contacts at key OEMs in decision making roles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ERP (Epicor) and CRM experience
  • Extensive contract negotiation experience, in particular, Request-for-Proposals (RFPs), sales and distribution agreements, warranty agreements, performance guarantees, etc.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor others
