JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

This position will report to the Director of Football Nutrition and support the Performance Nutrition Department by assisting with all aspects of student-athlete fueling. This Performance Nutrition position will supervise undergraduate student assistants and act as a liaison between the nutrition department and other Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) staff who manage athlete fueling.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • fuel station operations
  • daily production and projects
  • inventory, stocking, ordering, purchasing and distribution
  • body composition testing
  • education and projects
  • meal ordering, receiving and execution
  • team meals and training table
  • mentorship of departmental interns and student assistants

Preferred qualifications include:

  • nutrition, food service, or sport management background
  • management, supervisory or customer service experience
  • ability and willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • experience in athletics

Skills include:

  • strong interpersonal, time and priority management
  • communication and organization skills
  • ability to handle a fast-paced, intensive work environment
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work as a team
  • ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • ability to perform body composition testing
  • ability to operate a vehicle
  • ability to lift greater than 20 pounds with or without accommodations and perform other physical labor tasks (pushing, pulling, stocking, loading etc.)
  • identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems alone and in group settings
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively and proficiency in computing

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
