Strategy and Analysis Manager

Hyundai's North America Quality Center (NAQC) is looking for a Manager for the Strategy and Analysis Team of the Strategy and Data Analytics Group

The Team:

NAQC is the quality arm for Hyundai Motor Group's North American vehicle models. NAQC seeks to further Hyundai's goal of becoming the leading automotive maker in North America by delivering uncompromising quality and exceeding consumer expectations.

The Position:

The Strategy and Analysis Manager would lead a team of business analysts to support NAQC and its quality action process via designing, developing, and maintaining the next generation of tools and systems aimed at detecting, escalating, and managing quality investigations to achieve internal and external goals and KPIs, in addition to collaborating with cross-functional and global teams to monitor quality issues, analyze external quality indicators and customer data, and escalate new quality cases

What You Will Do:

  • Understand theplan of the Division and work with the team to implement & achieveKPIs
  • Collect, analyze, triage, and prioritize quality initiatives for NAQC and business partners
  • Build, maintain, and deliver a broad spectrum of reports to key personnel with a high degree of automation and adaptability in mind
  • Lead and manage a team of business analysts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive exceptional performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and affiliates
  • Monitor syndicated study results (e.g., J.D. Power, Consumer Reports, etc.) and develop forecasts for the Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia brands
  • Innovate new ways of problem-solving that draw from the best practices and innovations of other industries
  • Conduct regular reviews of program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements to optimize project outcomes
  • Manage budget, resource allocation, and forecasting activities
  • Oversee/support the development of direct reports' analytical skills
  • Travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally

What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, business statistics, economics, mathematics, an engineering-related discipline, or a related field of study
    • 10+ years of experience working with/performing data analysis
    • Good written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Experience with various data preparation and analytics tools and data visualization software
    • An ability to recognize the needs of the end-user(s) and create reproducible solutions that answer those needs quickly and efficiently
    • Experience documenting developed processes and best practices
    • Excellent time management, self-management, and organization skills
    • A strong analytical mindset
    • An ability to maintain a positive and 'can-do' attitude
    • An unbreakable commitment to delivering high-quality analysis




  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in data science, computer science, business statistics, economics, mathematics, an engineering-related discipline, or a related field of study
    • Automotive engineering experience
    • Experience working with and analyzing automotive survey data
    • Familiarity with text analytics
