Overview

We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician II (Days), also referred to as a Plant Operations Technician III or Boiler Operator III. The Hospital Maintenance Tech III is responsible for advanced maintenance and repairs on hospital systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment to ensure a safe and operational healthcare environment. This role also supports emergency response, preventive maintenance, and facility projects while coordinating with staff and contractors to minimize disruption to patient care.

Shift's Available: Days (No Weekends)

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8-hour shifts - 7:00am to 3:30pm

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, medical gas, and other systems
  • Quickly respond to emergency repair requests, such as system malfunctions or equipment breakdowns, to restore hospital operations without compromising patient care
  • Inspect and test critical hospital safety systems such as backup generators, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and life safety equipment to ensure they are functional and compliant with safety standards
  • Preventative Maintenance, during regular inspections and checks to prevent breakdowns, like lubricating motors, testing generators, or checking emergency lighting


Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Minimum 2 years' experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
