Overview
The Center for Internet Security (CIS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Marketing and Communications to lead our marketing and communications efforts. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing strategies that enhance CIS's brand, drive engagement, and promote our mission to create confidence in the connected world. Leading teams of professionals across Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Content Creation, Brand Enrichment, and Communications, the VP of Marketing and Communications will combine expertise in all aspects of marketing, excellent leadership skills, and cybersecurity domain knowledge to help establish CIS as the industry's thought leader and trusted partner. Salary Range: $167,900 - $302,200

What You'll Do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with CIS's mission and goals
- Oversee the development and execution of brand initiatives to enhance CIS's visibility and reputation as a thought leader and trusted partner
- Partner with Sales, Product Management, and other functions across the organization to establish and execute product positioning and go-to-market campaigns that drive awareness, growth, and penetration of CIS's product portfolio
- Lead the creation of compelling content across various platforms, including digital, print, and social media
- Design and manage creative and effective marketing campaigns that drive engagement and support CIS's mission and objectives
- Create and implement lead generation, nurturing, and qualification efforts to increase the sales pipeline and drive member and revenue growth
- Build and maintain relationships with media, stakeholders, and partners through effective communications and public relations strategies
- Act as a key public voice for CIS with our customers and in the marketplace
- Manage, mentor, and lead the Marketing and Communications team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Develop, measure, and track a set of marketing key performance indicators (KPI) to assess the effectiveness of marketing and communications efforts, using data to drive continuous improvement
- Oversee the marketing and communications budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field*
- 10+ years of experience in a marketing leadership role
- Extensive experience in the software or technology industry
- Ability to recruit, develop, and lead outstanding Marketing teams
- Proven track record in strategic planning, brand management, product marketing, public relations, and team leadership
- Outstanding collaborator that can work across the entire organization to execute their vision
- Excellent presentation and public speaking capabilities
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms
- Experience in departmental budgeting and complex expense management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, innovative thinking, and a passion for cybersecurity and internet security
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
It's a Plus if You Have:
- Advanced degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in the cybersecurity or security industries
- Experience in SLED sales or marketing roles
- Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Groove, and/or other advanced marketing software platforms
- Experience in the application of artificial intelligence in the marketing function
- Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management and intelligence software
*Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate's degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
