Senior SDET - Healthcare Automation & Database Validation (remote)

Location: Hartford - CT (Remote work allowed)

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related work experience.

8+ years of experience in software testing with proficiency in Java Selenium and SQL

As an SDET you will leverage your expertise in PostgreSQL GCP Databases Selenium PL/SQL and Big Data validation to drive innovative solutions in the Healthcare domain

Strong Expertise in SQL Basic and Advanced Queries

Expertise in Batch / Reports validations and DB validations

Expertise in QA testing process (60%)

40% Dev expertise required in writing / developing SQL procedures, table structures etc.

Roles and Responsibilities

Design and implement robust database solutions using PostgreSQL and GCP Databases to meet business requirements and enhance system performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate Big Data solutions ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

Utilize Selenium for automated testing processes improving software quality and reducing manual testing efforts.

Develop and optimize PL/SQL scripts to streamline database operations and improve data processing efficiency.

Conduct thorough validation of Big Data systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Provide technical expertise in the Payer domain contributing to the development of solutions that address specific industry challenges.

Oversee the integration of new technologies into existing systems ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruptions.

Lead efforts to identify and resolve database-related issues maintaining system stability and performance.

Collaborate with customer to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for database solutions.

Implement the best practices for database security and data protection safeguarding sensitive information.

Monitor and analyze system performance making recommendations for improvements and optimizations.

Support the hybrid work model by effectively managing tasks both remotely and on-site ensuring productivity and collaboration.

Contribute to projects that have a positive impact on society by enhancing data management and processing capabilities. Qualifications

Possess extensive experience in PostgreSQL and GCP Databases demonstrating a strong ability to design and implement effective solutions.

Have a solid background in Selenium showcasing proficiency in automated testing and quality assurance processes.

Demonstrate expertise in PL/SQL with a proven track record of developing efficient scripts for data processing.

Exhibit a deep understanding of Big Data validation techniques ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Bring valuable insights from the Payer domain applying knowledge to develop industry-specific solutions.

Show adaptability to the hybrid work model effectively balancing remote and on-site responsibilities.

Display strong analytical skills capable of identifying and resolving complex database issues.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 06/18/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between [$71,100 - $112,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
