Job Title: Logistics Coordinator Department: Logistics / Operations Reports To: Logistics Manager Position Summary The Logistics Customer Service Representative plays a key role in ensuring seamless freight coordination between shippers and receivers. This position is responsible for managing shipment logistics, communicating with carriers and customers, and ensuring that all deliveries meet expectations for timing, accuracy, and quality. This is an in-office and will pay $35-45k. Key Responsibilities Coordinate freight shipments by evaluating destinations, routes, rates, and delivery schedules; dispatch shipments to appropriate carriers. Verify shipments by matching bills of lading, reconciling quantities, and identifying discrepancies. Keep customers informed by providing timely updates on shipment status, delivery schedules, and any changes or delays. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Collect and analyze service performance data and carrier quality metrics; compile reports for management review. Negotiate rate structures, including consolidation lanes, carrier capacity, and customer-specific programs; present findings to management. Conduct market research to benchmark freight rates and identify cost-saving opportunities. Perform brokering functions including booking shipments and issuing delivery orders. Confirm pickup and delivery schedules, ensuring alignment with customer and carrier timelines. Analyze freight bills to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer-specific requirements. Track and document shipment details within the logistics management system. Manage time-sensitive requests and coordinate special deliveries as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong customer service orientation with a proactive problem-solving approach Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software platforms Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities Strong decision-making and analytical skills High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Professional phone etiquette Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced logistics environment Work Schedule Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. After-hours or weekend work may occasionally be required to meet customer demands.
