Director of Payroll Summary A well-established skilled nursing organization in Long Island is seeking a Director of Payroll to oversee and lead payroll operations across multiple facilities. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring timely, accurate payroll processing and compliance with healthcare industry regulations. Experience in PBJ Software and Health Care industry experience is a must! Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple entities. Collaborate with attorneys, administrators, and executive leadership on payroll matters, including union agreements and labor relations. Oversee payroll system upgrades and changes, including new hires, terminations, and salary updates. Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, including PBJ reporting and cost reports. Maintain accurate records and generate reports for finance, auditors, and leadership. Actively gather feedback from facility teams to improve payroll operations and employee satisfaction. Work closely with the CFO to align payroll strategies with company goals. Qualifications Proven experience in payroll leadership, preferably within the healthcare industry. Strong knowledge of payroll laws, multi-entity processing, PBJ, and cost reporting. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Comfortable working under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
