Rehab Clinical Specialist Job Responsibilities: Initiates/performs educational activities within the hospital with the appropriate subject matter expertise and level of presentation relative to the audience. Maintains an open communication channel with the Rehabilitation Management team and staff. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and knowledge about supplies, equipment billing and staff resources; Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and knowledge pertaining to supplies, equipment, billing, staff resources and other items used in the department. Assumes a leadership role in department committees, processes and special projects. Demonstrates the ability to effectively facilitate positive outcomes with conflict resolution. Selects/implements evaluation and treatment methods appropriate to patients' diagnosis, age group and physical/emotional status. Uses advanced skills in treatment techniques - particularly neuromotor handling, facilitation/inhibition and positioning techniques. Rehab Clinical Specialist Additional Requirements: Certification - Basic Life Support; Documented advanced study/training in NDT (for PT and OT) and Dysphagia (SLP) Licensure - Eligible for Virginia licensure in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy Experience - Five years of neurorehabilitation experience Education - Bachelors Degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy or Master's Degree for Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
