Description
Markon is seeking a Launch Integration Specialist to support our NRO client at multiple locations across the US.
Responsibilities
The ideal Launch Integration Specialist (LIS) will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following tasks:
Provide end-to-end mission management and integration planning support for satellite-to-launch vehicle operations.
Support all phases of OSL-assigned missions, including integrated schedule development, range coordination, readiness review preparation, and anomaly resolution. Coordinate technical procedures and integrate mission requirements into government or commercial infrastructure. Represent OSL at MAT Integration Panels and assist in the adjudication of lessons learned. Develop and maintain program plans; perform mission trade studies and mission analysis. Identify and track mission-unique and derived requirements. Monitor and verify launch vehicle and satellite interface requirements, including processing, transportation, and fueling. Support the full lifecycle of launch planning and execution in coordination with satellite programs, launch vehicle contractors, ranges, and associated mission partners. Understand and coordinate support across various contracts including NRO, OSL, FFRDC, LSIC, and commercial launch services. Apply knowledge of USSF's National Security Space Launch (NSSL) architecture and launch vehicle components.
LIS-specific tasks include:
Provide expertise in launch manifesting, space vehicle (SV) to launch vehicle (LV) integration, and launch campaign planning. Ensure continuity and quality across the launch enterprise. Manage coordination of planning, requirements, and readiness meetings. Support interface activities with internal and external stakeholders, including NASA, AF Program Offices, LV/SV contractors, and NRO mission partners. Generate presentations and reports for internal and external launch reviews. Attend launch scheduling and manifest meetings. Support NOPS and mission IT infrastructure validation and documentation. Assist in the development and update of mission documentation related to enterprise launch communications and service requirements. Monitor and advise on SV issues that could affect LV/SV integration and infrastructure readiness. Provide modeling and simulation support, developing technical and programmatic scenarios. Communicate OSL capabilities and updates via roadshows, briefings, and reference guides. Develop schedules, manifests, and alternative mission models including impact assessments. Identify mission integration risks and support mitigation tracking activities. Provide early integration engagement for emerging programs; may require special security access. Perform risk assessments of launch campaign elements, including team readiness, integration status, and launch campaign execution performance.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active TS/SCI with a Counterintelligence polygraph (Preferrably with this customer).
HS Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree accepted (depending on level). 2-10+ years of relevant experience in launch operations or systems integration. Experience supporting space vehicle and launch vehicle integration efforts. Familiarity with USSF/NSSL launch services and launch vehicle architecture. Strong understanding of mission lifecycle from planning to execution. Ability to coordinate across diverse government and contractor organizations.
Desired:
Experience supporting OSL, NRO, NASA, or Air Force launch missions. Familiarity with satellite communications infrastructure, mission IT services, and launch base operations. Experience conducting modeling/simulation and mission risk assessments. Strong communication skills for representing enterprise capabilities and interfacing with mission stakeholders. Understanding of launch integration panel processes and mission readiness evaluation.
Salary Range
USD $120,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.
