Overview
Summary: The Manager, Targeting & Field Reporting in Commercial Strategy & Operations will play a critical role in driving the success of the field sales teams by managing and optimizing targeting, segmentation, and field reporting processes. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision-making, enhance the effectiveness of commercial activities, and provide insights that support overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned. * Lead the development, implementation, and continuous optimization of territory targeting and segmentation strategies to maximize field force effectiveness. * Work closely with commercial leadership to identify key market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics that inform targeting strategies. * Design and maintain robust methodologies for targeting, segmentation, and account prioritization. * Oversee the development of field reporting tools and dashboards to monitor and analyze the performance of sales teams. * Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to senior leadership, offering insights into territory performance, market opportunities, and areas for improvement. * Drive the analysis of sales data, field activity, and business outcomes to inform decision-making and optimize resource allocation. * Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Data teams to align on strategies, gather necessary data, and deliver impactful business insights. * Support field teams by translating complex data and analytics into actionable recommendations to improve engagement and performance. * Assist in training sales representatives on the use of reporting tools and interpretation of targeting/field performance data. * Identify opportunities to streamline targeting processes and field reporting systems to improve accuracy and efficiency. * Maintain and manage the CRM and analytics platforms, ensuring that they are optimized for effective data collection and reporting. * Ensure the timely and accurate integration of data from various internal and external sources. * Provide actionable insights into sales trends, performance metrics, and market dynamics to guide business strategy. * Develop and present reports and presentations to senior leadership, offering clear recommendations based on data-driven analysis. * Ensure all targeting, segmentation, and reporting activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements specific to the biotech industry. * Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in commercial strategy and operations. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. Interaction: Works collaboratively with all levels of management within the Commercial Strategy & Operations team; as well as key partners such as Commercial Team, Business Development, IT and Medical Health Sciences related to internal deployment of reporting, tools, and processes.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Data Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a plus. * 3-5 years of experience in commercial operations, sales analytics, or targeting & reporting roles within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries. * Strong experience with CRM systems, analytics platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, Excel), and field reporting tools. * Demonstrated success in managing data-driven projects, reporting, and commercial strategy alignment. Pay Transparency
The base pay range for this role is $102,800-$141,350 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
