POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. This position works closely with department heads and those leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals and ensure a positive workplace environment, drive the execution of HR initiatives, and provide key employee relation support for all employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provide key employee relations support for all levels within the division, serving as a sounding board for managers, providing a voice for employees, and managing conflict resolution as needed.
  • Support best practice policies and procedures that are models and examples for use in and across different departments, and comply with local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Promote and coordinate the selection and participation in employee development and leadership development programs, encouraging career enhancing actions and activities.
  • Work with collective bargaining representatives on contract negotiations, grievances, and employee communications.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to department managers; guide managers through employee relations matters and conduct investigations to ensure confidentiality and fairness; and assist with staffing, career development, and succession planning
  • Serve as Human Resources contact for functional departments employees, providing support for employee relations, benefits, compensation, training, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Team for staffing, recruiting, on-boarding and retention, ensuring highly qualified staff are available at the right time.
  • Support organizational acquisition activities, structural redesigns, and business initiatives as needed.
  • Liaise with global Human Resources partners to ensure alignment, consistency, and communication.
  • Support and promote employee engagement initiatives.
  • Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.
  • Manages and Directs work of functional team, including hiring, corrective action, performance appraisals and pay review, budget and processes.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a large team, manage performance, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment in accordance to Wurth basic principles.
  • Implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge, including new employee onboarding.
  • Manage workforce planning, staffing, and labor relations to meet operational requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • B.S. Degree in Business, Behavioral Sciences, or equivalent related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with international human resources, a plus
  • Experience with acquisitions, leadership development, and multi-facility operations, a plus
  • High standard of professionalism and ethics
  • High level of interpersonal skills and ability to diffuse high-tension situations
  • Preferred style of teamwork, collaboration, and humility
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to lead through influence
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with written communications.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • MBA or MS preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency with HR software (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel estimated at 25%
