Duties and Responsibilities |
1. Hires and evaluates departmental employees.
2. Develops and maintains effective customer service.
3. Maintains applications for CS Gold and Micros Systems.
4. Provides all students, staff, faculty and appropriate vendors with valid IDs.
5. Manages reconciliations of food service provider's invoices.
6. Manages vendor relationships related to Card programs.
7. Manages project management duties related to Card programs.
8. Manages relationships with Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Treasury Operations, Residence Life, Campus Security, other University offices, and fellow employees.
9. Manages purchase orders, and arranges payment for equipment, hardware, software, incidentals, training, education, supplies, transportation, and lodging as needed.
10. Manages all Campus Card communications and marketing.
11. Manages quotes and assists with contract negotiations, renewals, bids, and RFPs for large purchases.
12. Provides consul on meal plan policy, access concerns and general care related functions.
13. Ensures system security and audit controls, as well as valid communication via interfaces to populate other University systems.
14. Prepares monthly financial information, analysis, and reports regarding Card programs. Maintains an organized and complete financial filing system.
15. Tags new property, track inventory accounting process.
16. Responsible for human resources of all employees in Campus Card and Bursar Offices.
16. Performs other duties as required. |
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience |
A bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred. At least five years of progressive related experience. |
Qualifications |
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to a prescribed style and format.
Math Ability:
Ability to apply mathematical concepts to the analysis of information.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands:
Need for transportation to and from the Water Tower campus when required. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Ability to work at a computer for 8 hours a day
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will manage 2 full-time employees in the department.

Computer Skills |
- Knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, Accounting software, Payroll systems, and Human Resource systems.
- Knowledge of the PeopleSoft system will be necessary for success in this position.
- Experience and knowledge of MICROS and CBORD systems.
