What you'll own

In a Corporate Counsel Senior role, you will manage legal commercial matters to protect Worldpay's rights by drafting and negotiating contracts in support of onboarding new, and managing existing, global enterprise merchants.

As part of a legal team with over 200 attorneys and legal professionals, your focus will include:

  • Prepare and negotiate contracts while providing legal advice and counsel to business units in areas that include payments processing or financial technology services.
  • Review merchant business models for compliance with laws, regulations, and payment card network rules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate unified merchant experience.
  • Advise colleagues on legal issues relating to commercial contracts.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • Six (6) or more years' experience drafting technology services agreements, merchant services agreements, and/or general commercial contracts in payments or fintech.
  • Ability to review and evaluate multi-faceted issues and counsel business colleagues on complex legal questions relating to various business matters.
  • Licensed to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
  • Added bonus if you have experience working with public sector contracts.

The pay range for this full-time position is $177,100.00 - $297,500.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
