Overview

The Domestic Customer Tracking Supervisor is responsible for supporting daily tracking and tracing operations to ensure the team meets the expectation of high accuracy. This position uses proprietary forwarding applications to ensure operational excellence and high productivity in cooperation with staff and management.


Responsibilities

    Supervise the team of Domestic Customer Tracking Agents that are responsible for overseeing all shipments in transit from start to finish
  • Communicate with team regarding distressed shipments and other irregularities
  • Responsible for creating and developing process improvement, standardization, and documentation procedures for the team
  • Identify and present system enhancement projects for better department efficiency
  • Assist in identifying and improving service and customer related issues
  • Responsible for Account Management Analysis, tracking findings such as over, short, and damaged (OS&D) as well as status update issues
  • Exhibits the ability to train, coach, develop and mentor the CCT staff on a daily basis
  • Actively participates in the interview process for potential candidates along with onboarding process for new teammates
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards


Qualifications

Education
* High School degree or GED (Required)
* Some College/Associate's Degree or higher (Preferred)

Experience
* 3+ years Leading a team of direct reports (Required)
* 3+ years Customer Experience (Required)
* 3+ years Freight Forwarding experience (Preferred)
* 3+ years CargoWise software experience a plus, ITAR, DG or TSA work experience/regulations. (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail High
* Must be able to work in a team setting, across multiple time zones and global geographies Medium
* Ability to determine resources to meet and exceed company and customer expectations High
* Ability to problem solve and be solution oriented High
* Individual must have a self-starter mentality and is adaptive and flexible High
* Ability to calculate freight rates and amounts such percentages, area, circumference, and volume Medium
* Intermediate knowledge of international shipping documentation and country specific requirements Medium
* Understanding of international accounting. Low
* Computer Skills High

Licenses and Certifications
* CCS-Certified Coding Specialist - CargoWise CCS/CCO (Preferred)
