What you'll do: The North America R&D Intercompany Flows Analyst is responsible for all intercompany flows related to programs spending (payables and receivables), according to the intellectual property ownership and/or industrialization site of the vehicles. He / she is responsible for the controlling, reporting, budgeting / forecasting, and actual analysis including entries that impacts NA region perimeter. This cross-functional role interacts closely with the regional and global engineering as well as finance. This role interacts very closely with the Program Controlling Teams, NA and Global Consolidation and Reporting groups. Key Responsibilities:
- Controlling and financial reporting for all engineering services between US and other regional partners including actuals and budget/forecasts by program, financial and managerial view
- Lead and support special projects including process improvements, implementation of regional funding strategies, and other global engineering/finance initiatives
- Coordinate alignment with global engineering and finance teams to ensure accurate related party and IFRS accounting and enable timely contract execution and cash settlement
- Collaborate with accounting, tax, purchasing, and treasury partners on implementation of new processes, and execution of initiatives to increase workflow efficiencies
- Contribute to evolving Global Engineering Finance structure.
- Support Group ER&D Special Projects.
- Structure, engage and conduce key RD Controlling projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, in accounting, business or finance (if no Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, must have an MBA).
- Minimum of 7 years of Finance / Controlling or Accounting experience, with the ability to forecast, and report actuals through the monthly close process, financial and managerial view, global consolidation
- Controllership, accounting, intercompany flows controlling as well as Automotive industry experience is a differential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Consolidation and Accounting reporting systems (i.e. Niagara HFM/OneStream)
- Strong project management skills to manage multiple work streams at one time
- Excellent communication skills; ability to interact with / present to executive management and present a point-of-view with facts
- Strong attention to detail, ability to question items, investigate /analyze independently, propose solutions to management, and manage multiple priorities / work-streams
