Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager, Office of Professional Development - Grossman Long Island School of Medicine - Mineola.

In this role, the successful manager plays a key leadership role in advancing institutional initiatives through strategic program development, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight. Reporting to a senior leader within the organization, the Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that align with institutional goals and priorities.
This position requires a combination of strategic planning, project management, relationship-building, and data-driven decision-making to ensure the success and sustainability of key initiatives. The Manager will collaborate across departments and with external partners to foster engagement, improve outcomes, and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities:

Program Leadership & Development

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that support institutional priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and long-term sustainability.
  • Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and best practices to enhance program effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to align efforts with institutional goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between leadership, staff, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events to foster collaboration and external engagement.

Operational & Project Management

  • Oversee the planning and execution of initiatives, ensuring timely completion and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and logistics for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate events, meetings, and activities that support organizational goals.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Track key performance indicators and program outcomes to assess impact and inform decision-making.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations for leadership.
  • Use data and feedback to refine and enhance program effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Public Administration, Higher Education, Social Sciences, Healthcare, or related disciplines).
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, strategic planning, operations, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience developing and implementing policies, programs, or operational strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using qualitative and quantitative data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams, departments, and organizations.
  • Progressive experience in an academic setting working with learners at all levels, including students, residents, and faculty, to support institutional programs and initiatives.

  • Hybrid or in-person role, with occasional travel or evening/weekend commitments as needed.
  • Reports to a senior leader and collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree In related field. 3-5 years Experience working in higher education, relationship management, community outreach, or relevant, related discipline. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree In related field.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $77,258.68 - $128,764.47 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
