EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required
  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree and (7) seven years' experience in quality improvement/performance improvement as a primary role, and (1) year in quality improvement/performance or

    Master's Degree and (6) years' experience in a quality improvement/performance as primary role and (1) year in quality improvement with a healthcare focus
  • Licenses and Certifications

  • (SSGB) SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT Upon Hire or

    (SSBB) SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT Upon Hire or

    (PMP) Project Management Prof Cert Upon Hire or

    Lean certification or equivalent Upon Hire

JOB DUTIES
  • Manages continuous improvement initiative in targeted areas of responsibility by supporting, advancing and executing the overall annual command center performance improvement strategic plan.
  • Execute the comprehensive quality outcomes reporting program including the analysis and trending of data
  • Maintains the QI/PI standards and measures agreed upon by executive leadership
  • Design and implement effective processes and programs to improve the quality of care and ensure compliance with nationally recognized quality outcomes
  • Manage and maintain the EMTALA and M&M Review Programs for Transfer Center to develop and standardize quality review process focused on excellence and patient centric care.
  • Manages performance metrics to review program progress and effectiveness, focusing on national benchmarks
  • Prepare reports and analysis of clinical outcomes date in order to identify opportunities for clinical process improvement initiatives.
  • Proactively identifies and educates leadership and staff regarding quality requirements and new guidelines. Works closely with hospital leadership, clinical and committee chairs to promote effective communication, facilitating information sharing and collaborative problem sharing.
  • Effectively leads and mentors a team of Quality Outcome Coordinators and audit staff to help achieve the quality goals of the organization.
  • Hires, trains and develops high performing staff to deliver high quality work and effective service to internal and external customers
  • Manage and lead all project related activities between the Command Center, Data Analytics, Information Resources, Clinical Operations and the customer.
  • Motivates and values staff around performance excellence, professional development, and participation in important center meeting and committees
  • Prepares written and oral presentations for a variety of internal and external audiences, and disseminates progress reports to Command Center and Executive Leadership
  • Collaboratives with program directors and managers to assess performance monitoring and implement improvement plans and to ensure accountability, feedback loops and monitoring systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
