This position requires to be working in office, 3 days per week from our Bala Cynwyd, PA office. Position Summary Pep Boys is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to serve as a key thought partner to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the executive leadership team. This highly visible role will lead the company's financial planning efforts, including the Annual Budget, 5-Year Strategic Plan, weekly earnings forecasts, and board reporting. The VP will play a pivotal role in delivering actionable insights, driving performance, enhancing processes, and shaping Pep Boys' financial strategy in a fast-paced, consumer-facing environment. Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Financial Leadership
- Lead the development of annual budgets, long-range plans, rolling forecasts, and strategic models.
- Drive financial support for business initiatives including pricing, capital investment, and operational efficiencies.
- Provide clear financial analysis and recommendations to inform key executive decisions.
- Business Partnership & Decision Support
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CFO and functional leaders across the organization.
- Lead ROI assessments, investment appraisals, and financial modeling for cross-functional initiatives.
- Collaborate with business leaders to link financial outcomes to operational drivers.
- Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Champion a performance-based environment aligned with Pep Boys' core values.
- Reporting & Governance
- Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reports, including board meeting and earnings call materials.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance FP&A tools, systems, and reporting capabilities.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- 12+ years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, including:
- 3+ years as VP or senior FP&A leader
- Experience in the automotive industry or retail environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong command of GAAP, financial modeling, and performance analytics
- Demonstrated success leading FP&A transformations, process improvements, and cross-functional business support
- Proven leadership skills with a collaborative and hands-on approach
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities
- CPA and/or CFA certification is a plus, but not required
