Job Description and Responsibilities
- Secures premises in control room and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing/enforcing violators of policy and procedures, and looking out for trespassers.
- Crowd control for emergencies, such as medical/fire/disasters
- Access Control
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses
- Work as a member of control room operator team
- Monitor property's entrance/exits
- Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
- Secure all exits, doors and windows
- Monitor surveillance cameras
- Respond to alarms/emergencies/suspicious activities in a timely manner
- Monitors and operates facility computers systems regularly, as assigned
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Answer phones and greets guests and employees
- Handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Contact Emergency Services, such as EMT, Fire Dept., etc.
- Initiate notification and escalation procedures
- Document significant incidents
- Perform primary analysis on operational procedures
- Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Education and Work Experience
- Must be able to obtain an Oregon Unarmed Professional Security License
- Must be able to obtain an ASHI Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- Must be able to pass a drug screening, driving record check and background check
- Must be A US citizen
- Must be over 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
