REPORTS TO: Software Development Manager

PAY: $60,000 salary + based on experience

WORK FROM HOME STATUS: Eligible

After a period of in-person training and time working onsite with your team, this role has the option to work remotely (in WI only at this time). In general, this timeframe tends to be 1-4 weeks. Note that there will be situations when someone may choose or be asked to return onsite which would be coordinated and scheduled in advance.

The ideal DevOps candidate will have a solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices bringing experience, leadership, strong communication skills and a sense of responsibility for a Microsoft on prem and Azure cloud CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment) environment. This position will ensure applications are deployed successfully, operating smoothly, reliably, and adhering to high security and privacy standards.

You will be working closely with infrastructure, development, and architecture teams to automate and accelerate the testing, release, and deployment of applications into our runtime environments. Occasionally tasks or unexpected issues will arise outside of normal business hours that will require your attention.

Here's what a typical day might look like. (These are the essential functions of the job). Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate daily: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, Humility
  • Collaborate across teams to streamline and simplify builds and the deployment of a large-scale ecommerce platform
  • Solve problems in ways that drive towards simplicity of architecture and operations
  • Collaborate with development, quality assurance, architecture, infrastructure, security, and product owners
  • Monitor production infrastructure for security, availability, and performance
  • Solve production security, availability, and performance issues
  • Assist team members in solving production defects
  • Maintain pipelines and various pre-production environments
  • Perform incidence management and root cause analysis
  • Coordinate and communicate within the team and with our internal customers
  • Deploy product updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise
  • Serve as a liaison between application development teams and operational infrastructure teams
  • Use application performance management and other tools to monitor production and troubleshoot systems
  • Create and maintain documentation of services and processes
  • Maintain a current understanding of trends and updates in your role
  • Participate in training classes and actively seek professional development

  • Someone with experience with software development and supporting developers
  • Able to adhere with the defined development and delivery process, change management, SLA (service level agreement) compliance, productivity, and other application goals
  • Some with excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technology topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Have experience with YAML to support our Git Pipelines
  • Have experience with PowerShell Scripting to support our Azure Automations
  • Have experience with the Azure CLI
  • Have experience with Linux hosting withing Azure

Required education/skills/experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology degree.
    1. Applicants with equivalent, relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar field.
    1. 2-5 years of experience in software development preferred
    2. 1-2 years of experience in DevOps preferred

Also advantageous:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Working knowledge of production and test environments for web applications
  • A background in infrastructure and security
  • Experience with languages such as C#, NodeJS, PowerShell or other languages to script installation, configuration, and provisioning
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experienced working in ecommerce
  • Experience with Bicep and ARM templates for deploying resources to Azure
  • Kusto Query Language
  • MS Entra - Active Directory and Graph API
