Job Title: Research Coordinator Position #: 00835937 - Requisition #: 37005



Job Summary:



Join the Colorado School of Public Health as a Research Coordinator (Research Services Professional). This position is a key member of the school's Department of Health Systems, Management & Policy that will support departmental research efforts, as well as general needs of the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute's (CCTSI) Community Engagement Core and the Colorado Community Engagement Alliance (CO-CEAL) project. CO-CEAL works to promote health, improve health outcomes, and strengthen partnerships through community-engaged research.

The CO-CEAL project is grant-funded through March 31, 2028. Support for this position is contingent upon the availability of this grant funding, with no guarantee of continuation beyond that date.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide support to community and research team members in intervention development and evaluation
  • Co-facilitate and support community workgroup meetings
  • Coordinate payment processing for community-based team members and projects on a regular basis and for ad hoc meetings/events
  • Contribute to literature reviews, preparation of policy briefs and manuscripts, presentations, and identification of new research opportunities
  • Support coordination of meetings, including logistical, catering, meeting agenda, communication, and preparatory support
  • Provide general administrative support for grant alignment, dissemination activities, and various reporting needs


This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position and reports to a faculty member within the Department of Health Systems, Management & Policy.

Qualifications:



Minimum Requirements



  • A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, nursing, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • One year of professional level experience in program research or community engagement


A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications



  • An MPH degree in public health, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Training in systems thinking theory and methods including group model building and systemic design.
  • Experience presenting complex concepts at community and public health meetings.
  • Previous experience supporting teams who work remotely.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced experience with various web-based platforms and applications, such as Zoom, Miro board, Egnyte and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to support meetings and activities outside of traditional business hours.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering a community that values a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to principles of community engagement.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work efficiently, adaptability in a changing and hybrid remote-office working environment.
  • Highly accountable and takes initiative to complete regular tasks and duties without being told.

Anticipated Salary Range:



The starting target salary for this position has been established as $51,215 - $65,145 per year.

The above salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
