Clinician for Youth (Full Time)

Salary Range: $72,000-$75,000

Location: Woonsocket, RI

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated coordinator for our Youth & Family Tree (YFT) Program. This individual will be working closely with youth ages 12-25 and their families and will be coordinating with community partners to increase access to services available for adolescents. The goal of this program is to screen, assess, and coordinate care for youth at risk for substance use disorders and who are currently experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.

Job Duties:


  • Actively engage clients and family members in the therapeutic process utilizing a variety of strategies at the youth center and in community settings
  • Provide individual supports to clients and families in the YFT program
  • Create programming for youth and families that promote prevention, harm reduction and clinical treatments education and services.
  • Create and facilitate the Youth Advisory Board
  • Create and facilitate a working group with community partners to ensure a clear, relevant array of services for the community.
  • Assist Clinician in the development of therapeutic groups for youth and family members that promote health and wellness including mental health, self-esteem building, co-occurring conditions, and substance use
  • Participate in marketing and promotional events to promote the program, increase enrollment, and provide education related to substance use and recovery
  • Provide care coordination between providers in various settings to improve youth and family participation and engagement
  • Assess clients on an ongoing basis, provide support services and crisis intervention as needed

  • Has strong commitment to promoting diversity
  • Has a youth-centered focus and framework and is passionate about working with youth ages 12-25 and their families
  • Exhibits initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Demonstrates strong writing, communication, computer and documentation skills
  • Possesses the ability to multitask, are organized, and have excellent time management skills
  • Can transport clients in their vehicles for things such as community appointments and events

Position Requirements:


  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or in a human services field.
  • Driver's license required.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
  • Prior experience working with children and families in community-based and/or drop-in center programs preferred.
  • Clinical license or close to attaining licensure
