Job Description
Responsible for overseeing clinical education programs and supporting the professional growth of clinical faculty within the Leavitt School of Health programs. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality simulation and clinical training, fosters a culture of continuous learning, and aligns educational initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Collaborates with academic leaders, partners, clinical staff, and healthcare partners to enhance student learning experiences, competencies, and outcomes through effective education and faculty development. Primary Responsibilities
- Clinical Education Oversight: Design, implement, and evaluate clinical learning programs to ensure staff and students achieve competency in patient care practices.
- Faculty Development: Recruit, onboard, and mentor clinical faculty, providing guidance on teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and performance evaluation.
- Program Management: Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resources for simulation labs and clinical training initiatives, ensuring compliance with accreditation and licensing requirements.
- Collaboration: Partner with nursing and health leadership, healthcare providers, and shared services to integrate evidence-based practices into clinical education.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of clinical learning outcomes, using data to drive improvements in training and faculty performance.

- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Active RN license (if applicable) and 3+ years of experience in clinical nursing or healthcare management, with ability to secure active, unencumbered license in all 50 states as required for role.
Experience
- Three (3) years of proven leadership experience in education, training, or faculty development within a higher education and/or healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal degree from an accredited institution in nursing, health, or related field.
- Experience with curriculum design and instructional technology.
- Familiarity with healthcare simulation and competency-based training.
- Certification in nursing education (e.g., CNE) or leadership (e.g., NEA-BC) is a plus.
- Experience in working with healthcare facilities and preceptors in clinical placements.
- Experience handling and resolving student behavior/conduct concerns.
- Experience leading process improvement projects.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Work Environment: This role operates in a hybrid setting, primarily a remote office, however travel to labs and/or clinical locations is required. Additionally, some travel may be required to collaborate with faculty or attend professional development events.
