Introduction

Are you our new Quality Supplier Manager, who will engage our suppliers to drive for Zero-Defects and the next level of Supplier Quality Performance? Do you combine an analytical mind-set with a hands-on approach? While making it happen, can you juggle several balls at once? Then the job of Quality Supplier Manager might be something for you!

The Quality Supplier Manager (QSM) works in the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement department representing ASML's Quality logistics interface to its supply base, responsible for the Material Availability for our ASML factories.

With today's complex multi-tier supply chains, this is only possible by creating full transparency in the chains and flexibility at suppliers. Here over 100 chains are managed up to seven tiers deep, addressing potential bottlenecks and supply risks before they impact our customers. It must handle the increased complexity of ASML's systems while reducing cost of ownership for customers.

To do this, the supply chain- and logistics engineers work with suppliers to continuously reduce cycle times for components, modules and assemblies, increasing supply chain flexibility and customer value.

The department also monitors suppliers' quality, flexibility, cycle time reductions, move rate compliance and on-time delivery reliability, driving supplier development in all areas. This is to ensure ASML's supply keeps pace with technological developments and can adapt to changing market conditions.

As a Quality Supplier Manager you are:

  • Responsible for the management of Quality and Operational Performanceof a selected number of Key Suppliers.

  • The Quality interface between the supplier and ASML. You will work with suppliersand ASML Stakeholderstofind structural solutions toMaterial QualityNon-Conformities. In this way driving theBusinessProcess Improvementsandmanagingand closing the loopwiththe ASMLStakeholders.

  • Member of the multi-disciplinary Supplier Account Team, that strategically managesthese Suppliers (SAT team) and is the point of contact for internal/external customers.

Key focus Quality areas are Quality ManagementSystems, Operational Excellence, Quality Control, Complaint Handling, Configuration and Change Management.

Role and responsibilities

As a QSM you manage your Suppliers' Performance on Product Quality. This according to specifications and in adherence to various quality agreements. You make sure that your supplier delivers and executes according to the existing agreements. If required, you drive changes in the Supplier Quality Management processes to ensure the future's quality of the product. You coordinate the Quality Steerco's together with the supplier.

While using your knowledge in quality management, analytical thinking, professional network and excellent people skills, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Quality Assurance: Improve supplier quality performance by driving execution of existing quality agreements and improvement actions by your Suppliers, as well as triggering internal actions for changes in product or process design to eliminate Material Notification (MN's) and Deviation Notifications (DN's)

  • Participate in Supplier Audits to identify gaps in supplier quality management system against ASML Supplier Profile requirements. You manage the supplier to define and execute Improvement Plans to structurally resolve open items and de-risk the supplier

  • Coaching the Supplier to use ASML designed systems (e.g. portals) and processes, procedures, quality tools and techniques to increase supplier maturity level

  • Validation and acceptance of Product Readiness (quality) to be released towards volume operations

  • Ensure execution of supplier related Issue Resolution: MN's, DN's, AIR (ASML Issue Resolution)

  • Ensure that the definition and execution of the Supplier Quality Roadmap is in line with ASML quality performance ambitions*

  • Leading quality escalations and organizing cross sector teams, including supplier, for solving disturbances in the factory and field, due to material quality*

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, with substantial experience in supply chain management

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing supplier quality performance, ideally within a complex, high-tech, low-volume industry

  • Demonstrated background in quality improvement and operational excellence within a manufacturing environment

  • Proven track record of contributing to improvement initiatives across the supply chain

  • Hands-on experience with quality auditing (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent) and quality management tools

  • Comfortable working in complex environments involving multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities to drive change both internally and with suppliers

  • Proven track record in process improvement and optimization initiatives

Other information

  • The organization you're working for consists of 30+ QSMs, 30+ LSMs (Logistics Supplier Managers) and 70+ OSCs (Operational Supplier Coordinators).

  • Internal: As a member of theASMLSupplier Account Team(SAT) you work closely together with the Account/Sourcing Lead (AL), theLogisticsSupplierManager (LSM) andTechnicalSupplier Manager (TSM)/Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE).

  • External: Quality management supplier counterparts and supplier managing directors.

  • Stakeholders: Suppliers, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, Global Quality, Development & Engineering, Factory, Field representatives.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
