Auria is looking to hire a
Software Engineer to join the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ONSITE in Colorado Springs, CO (Hwy 83 & Federal).
This position is for a Principal Software Engineer on the Enterprise Services team for the C2BMC program. The candidate will be responsible for software development using the Java language.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Responsible for conducting thorough analysis and providing technical support for systems software products, which includes resolving complex problems, designing, developing, testing, operational integration, and offering user support
- Designs, codes, maintains, debugs, and configures enterprise software applications and products
- Works from specifications to develop or modify operating system applications
- Assists with the design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs
- Collaborates with other system support groups to resolve issues, establishes standards, and enhances the overall efficiency of the operating system
- Designs, codes, tests, and implements tools for operations automation
- Will work with Risk Management Framework, STIG, Fortify, and SonarQube mitigation
- Will work with server-side/database development and computer system administration
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.
- Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience,
- or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience,
- or a PhD and 1 years of experience,
- or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, etc.) is required to start
- Software engineering and software development with Java/JEE experience
- Experience and knowledge of basic software practices are essential, including coding standards and configuration management
- Experience developing enterprise applications using Java
- Knowledge and experience with Java foundation classes and toolkits
- Experience developing software for Unix/Linux is required
- Experience working as part of an Agile team; understanding of Agile methodology
- Use of common software development and management tools such as:
- Git
- Nexus
- JIRA
- Confluence
- Maven/Gradle
- Eclipse
- Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Experience developing software for Windows platforms is desired
- Full Stack experience
- Command and control system application development
- Automated test and pipeline development experience
- Test-driven development
- Experience with Software Integration testing, including developing automated test scripts
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $108,000 - $118,000
