Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring our insurance products and systems align with business goals while delivering value to our customers. A key aspect of this role involves implementing rate changes and coverage configurations within our "Rate Editor" application, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and accuracy. You will collaborate closely with Product Systems team members, IT, Compliance Managers, and Product Managers to convert filing approvals into clear, actionable business requirements.

Additional responsibilities include User Acceptance Testing, gathering and documenting business requirements for system enhancements, designing and executing detailed test plans and test cases, and identifying and resolving defects across both internal systems and customer-facing platforms.

Maintain a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, values and upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Those within a 50-mile radius of an AmTrust office will be required to work a hybrid schedule.



Responsibilities

    Implement rate changes and coverage configurations within our "Rate Editor" application
  • Translate state filing approvals into high-quality business requirements
  • Design, execute and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on defined requirements
  • Perform user acceptance testing for all system enhancements and defects
  • Identify and report system defects and ensure all systems meet our business requirements
  • Translate identified defects into actionable items and collaborate with IT analysts, developers, product managers to resolve noted defects
  • Provide updates and reports on UAT progress, issues, and results to UAT manager
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and develop detailed business requirements that support organizational goals
  • Ability to perform Gap analysis of current and future state and provide recommendations
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AmTrust's internal and external facing systems
  • Work closely with UAT Manager to define and understand all testing objectives
  • Build relationships with IT and other departments within the organization
  • Perform other functionally related duties as assigned
  • Train new staff as needed


Qualifications

Required:

  • 3 years of Commercial Multi-Line Insurance experience
  • Ability to understand and interpret system requirements
  • Ability to understand and interpret state filings
  • Property and Casualty Underwriting and rating experience is preferred
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries
  • Strong knowledge of XML
  • Experience in Agile & Waterfall methodologies
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Team focused with the ability to effectively multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Visio, SharePoint, Project, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
