We are looking for a Solution Engineer to join our team, responsible for a subset of our Public Sector demonstrations and their supporting infrastructure. In this role you would own key demonstrations from idea to reality, project managing the demo creation process including use case/feature prioritization, storyboarding, validation, demo build, release communication and enablement. This is your chance to define the future and set the standard for how Salesforce solution engineers (SEs) demonstrate our solutions to Public Sector prospects and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the Public Sector Demonstration Environment vision, strategy, and roadmap through collaboration with stakeholders

  • Meet regularly with product management to understand upcoming product roadmap, impact on existing demo environment landscape, and overall release strategies for new features.

  • Meet regularly with Public Sector stakeholders (PMs, Solution Engineers and Product Specialists) to understand top priority use cases and new release features, along with needs, challenges and market demands. Ensure needs from stakeholders are balanced and prioritized where both are aligned.

Solution Design:

  • Understand, implement, and project manage the newest Salesforce features relevant to Public Sector.

  • Keep up with the fast pace of 3x/year Salesforce product releases.

  • Architect and build end-to-end Salesforce demos that cross multiple solutions

  • Manage Public Sector Demo Environment feature backlog

  • Follow the delivery process and adhere to best practices outlined using our DevOps lifecycle to build, manage, and maintain high quality demo assets.

  • Review survey data, analyzing trends and putting recommendations in place

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and make enhancement recommendations to product and specialist teams.

  • Responsible for Globalization of environments as they evolve - project managing regional volunteers to complete translation for data and metadata and working with developers to localize assets where needed.

Technical Guidance and Support:

  • Monitor and respond to demo related questions in your industry slack channel;

  • Troubleshoot issues with the demo environment and collaborate with technical teams as needed to resolve them.

  • Raise awareness to Product and Engineering by logging tickets and communicating to appropriate teams

  • Enablement, Communication and Documentation

  • Create and maintain demo enablement assets, including demo guides (click path, talk track, screen shot) and setup steps for high priority use cases and new features; Work with appropriate teams to get input.

  • Create an enablement video each release to support major improvements made to Industry and Core Cloud

  • Communicate & market demo release updates

  • Regularly audit enablement content

  • Events

  • Partner closely with industry product management & product marketing on product roadmap and industry event demos.

  • Deliver product demonstrations at Salesforce & 3rd party industry events

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years solution engineering work experience

  • Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills

  • Experience administering Salesforce using the force.com platform

  • Project management skills to orchestrate complex projects.

  • Strong project and time management skills, and the ability to support multiple, complex, concurrent projects

  • Technical aptitude to understand data models, system integration, data migration, and how

  • to implement Salesforce.

  • Ability to recruit and lead a cross functional team to accomplish project goals.

  • Ability to prioritize and delegate work in a fast paced environment.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in pre-sales, Salesforce Implementation or Salesforce Administration

  • Experience working with/for organizations in the Public Sector industry.

  • Three or more Salesforce certifications - Service Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, OmniStudio Consultant, AI Associate

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $168,420 to $225,260. For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $153,090 to $204,750. For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $153,090 to $225,260. For Washington D.C based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $168,420 to $225,260. For Maryland based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $153,090 to $204,750. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $168,420 to $225,260. For Hawaii-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $153,090 to $204,750. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $153,090 to $225,260. For Minnesota based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $153,090 to $204,750. For New Jersey based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $168,420 to $225,260. For Vermont based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $153,090 to $204,750. For Massachusetts based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $153,090 to $225,260. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
