Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $16.63 - Midpoint: $19.95 (Hourly N3)

Department/Organization: 200019 - Capstone Center for Student Success

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: The Administrative Assistant I provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs routine and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls, emails, and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, etc.

Additional Department Summary: The Administrative Assistant I provides daily operational support to UA First, the transition and retention office at The University of Alabama, as part of the student success mission in the Capstone Center for Student Success. This position maintains the operations of the department including management of office supplies, assisting with phone calls and visitors to the department, providing assistance in the financial and human resource support functions, and supporting program execution for the variety of programs hosted by UA First.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED or higher.

Skills and Knowledge: Working knowledge of computers and standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Suite). Ability to track and manage data through Excel. Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Interpersonal communication and public relations skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Experience and knowledge of Banner/Concur, Slate, or another CRM platform.
