Category Leader Construction As Category Leader Construction the candidate will be part of the Indirect Sourcing team working closely with cross functional teams and key stakeholders to drive effective sourcing strategy to deliver the best outcome for Aptiv. Key focus areas include; supporting category strategy, conducting commercial negotiations, contract and risk management. Having a strong savings reputation within Aptiv, the indirect sourcing team has delivered outstanding results. With the autonomy to improve process and lead strategies, you will play a critical role driving Aptiv's energy procurement strategy and sustainability goals. Your Role
Develop and drive effective Construction that is reflective of organizational goals. Build trust with and manage stakeholders, work with cross functional organization in the delivery of strategic energy sourcing. Monitor the supply markets and adapt the sourcing strategy. Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to advance value add of Indirect sourcing organization. Monitor and manage budgets to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency. Negotiate complex commercial agreements while ensure compliance to corporate governance requirements. Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance ensuring adherence to business activities and timelines.
Your Background
Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent (Masters preferred) with 5+ years' experience in a similar role. In-depth, demonstrable, knowledge of energy markets, preferably working within energy procurement for the manufacturing sector across an extended global footprint. Comfortable with reviewing operational and contract hedging strategies to manage risk exposure.
