LOCATION: Chantilly, VA (hybrid)

SUMMARY: The The Director of Contracts is a senior-level corporate staff position with experience in Government Contracting, Subcontracting, and associated duties. The candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and will be responsible for a wide range of contracting duties with an ongoing interface with Senior Corporate Management and Division Directors.

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of government contracts, including negotiations, risk management, compliance, and execution
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other procurement regulations
  • Support business development by preparing and managing teaming agreements and responding to RFPs
  • Analyze and review solicitations to assess potential risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Maintain effective communication with government clients, Teaming Partners, Subcontractors, Vendors, and internal teams to ensure contract obligations are met
  • Draft, review, evaluate, and execute contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs) to ensure Company objectives are met
  • Support and respond to requests for task order proposals under IDIQ's, GWAC's and/or GSA Schedules
  • Prepares Request for Proposal (RFP) for subcontracts
  • Facilitate Prime contract execution by working with Government Contracting Officers as well as Contracting Officer Representatives and individual internal managers
  • Work with Division Directors to ensure contractual issues are handled in a timely manner
  • Prepare, review, and execute subcontracts and new or existing agreements
  • Resolve contractual issues, including interpreting contract language and negotiating contract changes
  • Provide strategic and collaborative knowledge/expertise to executive level and other management personnel
  • Manage complex contract issues with numerous and varied government and commercial customers
  • Interface with company management on issues related to contract performance and customer challenges
  • Ensure compliant contract administration, including the timely review and execution of agreements, appropriate risk identification and mitigation, and contract closeout activities


NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of professional experience in contract management within the government sector or no degree with 15 years of relevant experience in contract management within the government sector
  • 6+ years of experience in US Government/DoD contracting, procurement regulations, and contract negotiations with prime contract and subcontract functions across multiple contract types
  • Strong expertise in FAR, DFARS, and government acquisition processes
  • Experience with Federal Government contractual-related proposal preparation
  • Experience with Federal Government contracts and subcontracts administration
  • Experience in administering and managing contractual documentation such as Prime contracts and Subcontracts, Vendor Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and related documents
  • Must have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, ability to work independently, assess priorities, and manage a variety of activities with limited guidance


COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook)


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CLEARANCE:

  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance


ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:



  • Demonstrated analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Government contracting pricing experience a plus, but not required
  • Experience with procurement in a CPSR environment a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and One Drive for contract and/or proposal repository and sharing of files
